TRAVEL UPDATE &
BOOKING CONDITIONS
We've all felt the impact of this global crisis with COVID-19 and what it means to stay safe and healthy - for ourselves and for each other near and far. As always, the safety of our travelers and team is our top priority.
There is so much effort and love that goes into planning each Pathways trip. We hold strong relationships with all our partners - hiking guides, vineyard owners, hotel & restaurant owners, drivers, farmers, fly fishing guides, families who manage high-mountain huts and many more. We are doing our best to continue supporting our travelers, our local partners and our friends around the world.
We are here to offer you as much support and advice that we can to ensure that your trip runs smoothly and safely. Please read below to learn more about how we are monitoring, managing and adapting to this situation.
OUR APPROACH
We are obtaining daily updates from a variety of different government agencies including the CDC, State Department & the WHO. Additionally, we remain in close contact with our on-the-ground partners and staff in the affected destinations to get first-hand information and insight. We work with all of these sources to make informed decisions about our trips.
If these trusted sources advise against travel to where any of our trips are planned, we will work with our travelers to offer alternatives.
IMPACTED PATHWAYS DESTINATIONS
We remain committed to operating all our trips once the conditions and the authorities allow. However, we are also aware that everyone has their own perspective on what feels right for them during this unprecedented time. We have, therefore, relaxed our cancellation and booking policies to give you more time and flexibility to decide what’s best for you.
YOUR OPTIONS
For 2021 trips, final balances are currently due 45 days prior to departure (previously 90 days prior to departure). This will give us all a bit more time to assess and monitor the situation and make decisions that are best for our travelers and team.
For 2022 trips, deposits are due at the time of booking. Final balances are due 90 days prior to departure but if these trips need to be canceled or postponed due to COVID-19 related reasons, the deposit is transferrable to a trip through the end of 2023.
OUR MESSAGE
Pathways was created because we believe so strongly that active adventures make the world a better place. We love to travel and to bring people together. We believe in the immense, positive value of global citizenship and human connections. Our simple, yet powerful, mission is to enhance the lives of all our travelers and the local communities we engage with wherever we go.
While this is certainly an unprecedented time, we are on track to come out of these challenging times stronger and more connected than before.
