For our private trips, we tailor and customize your itinerary to the needs and desires of your specific group. You'll have a personal, local hiking guide who will help you experience the culture, history and beauty of trails you're hiking on and the places that you're exploring.
You'll have the flexibility to select your own dates and customize

Our guides are passionate about travel and they want to do whatever they can to help you connect with a new place and the local community. For each private guided trip, you’ll have your own personal guide with you (sometimes two guides depending on your group size and itinerary).
We are very particular about who we hire, and we work with the best. Local to the region, our guides are multi-lingual and they'll share with you all their insider knowledge about your surroundings - everything from naming that unique wildflower on the side of the trail to talking about the history and geology of the mountains you’re discovering.

You can start your trip on any date that works best for you and your travel plans. Once you submit a request for more information about an itinerary, you'll receive a personal phone call from the Pathways team. Together, we’ll chat about your goals for the trip and Pathways will work to customize an itinerary based on your interests, budget & activity level. We’ll only ask for your deposit when your trip is just right.

We've carefully & thoughtfully planned each part of the experience, from daily hiking options to smooth luggage transfers between hotels to the best, local discovery along the way.

SUPPORT & EXPERT KNOWLEDGE
These places and these trips are near and dear to our heart and while we’ve traveled to every place in our itineraries, we’ve scouted and re-scouted as necessary so that all information is as up-to-date as possible. If there are any trail closures or necessary detours (like a spontaneous visit to a local vineyard), your guide will be with you every step of the way, ready to make sure each day is amazing.
From the time that you contact Pathways to after you return home, we’re here for you. Before you depart, we arrange a pre-trip orientation call to review your itinerary, the pre-trip logistics, packing list and more. You'll have time to get detailed, personalized answers to all your questions before your trip begins.

Where you stay on a Pathways trip is so much more than just where you sleep - it’s an integral part of your experience. We very carefully choose where our groups stay – not just somewhere clean & convenient, but special places with character, warmth and a story. Whenever we can, we try to find historic spots that are family or locally-run and that embrace the local culture and cuisine.
